Job description

  • You are a competent contact person in the area of databases and Amazon Web Services AWS
  • You are responsible for the setup, administration and operation of distributed, highly available MS-SQL Server environments on-premise and in Amazon Web Services AWS
  • You optimize and further develop our MS-SQL database environment
  • You manage the backup and recovery processes of MS-SQL databases
  • Create database queries for analysis purposes in consultation with other departments
  • You manage the resources in Amazon Web Services AWS
  • Responsibility for error analysis as well as troubleshooting of occurring problems within the scope of 1st/2nd level support
  • Ensuring smooth operation

Requirements

  • You have completed IT training or a degree in (business) computer science or have comparable qualifications through relevant practical experience
  • Ideally you are in possession of MS-SQL certifications (MCSA/MCSE)
  • You have sound practical experience in the administration of MS-SQL (from 2016) databases
  • You have knowledge in TSQL, SQL Server Reporting Services, Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, Windows Server Clustering Technology (high
  • availability solutions, failover cluster instances), Powershell
  • You have first experiences with Amazon Web Services AWS or Google Cloud Platform
  • You are interested in continuous development and staying up to date in the area of high-performance database system
